Semana 3: Día de los muertos

Vamos a aprender más sobre Día de los muertos esta semana en la clase de español. Este video, publicado por PBS, no usa ningunas palabras, pero todavía describe de que se trata este día. Hay muchos tipos de textos que no usan palabras. Por ejemplo, pinturas, dibujos, y algunas canciones. 

Su tarea:

  • Watch the video (above). 
  • After, look online for more information about Day of the Dead. I recommend the following pages to begin your search:
  • Using this information, or other information that you found online, create your own "text without words" to demonstrate what you have learned. You should look for 5 to 10 images that represent Day of the Dead to you and create a "Photo Collage." Your collage can be created with an online Photo-Collage maker, or you may use a Word or PowerPoint document. As long as you have a collage of the five images that represent Day of the Dead to you, you will receive full credit. If you have doubts about how to make a Photo Collage, ask your classmates or speak to me after class. 
  • Share your photo collage with the class by publishing your photo collage in your own blog post this week.
  • Check for my feedback on your blog post this week.

Semana 4: Un retrato de latinoamerica

Esta semana, vamos a pensar sobre nuestro país y la tierra que forma nuestro hogar. Calla 13 es una una banda puertorriqueño que canta de temas políticos y también hace comentarios sobre la cultura y temas latinoamericanas por medio de sus canciones. Esta semana, escucha a la canción Latinoamerica por Calle 13. Las letras están escrito en el video, pero para otra referencia, hacer click aquí . La primera vez que escucha a la canción, solamente escucha y presta atención al video y los imagenes.  Ahora, ver este video abajo. Este video es igual, pero tiene las letras en ingles. Semana 1: Gente inspiradora

Esta semana, vamos a leer sobre una latina inspiradora, Ellen Ochoa.  Ella esta en las noticias este año porque en mayo de 2017, se iniciará en Salón de Fama de Astronautas. Su responsabilidad esta semana es leer el artículo,  First Latina in Space Ellen Ochoa to be Inducted into the Astronaut Hall of Fame , escrito por Raquel Reichard, y esta entrevista con Ellen Ochoa del año 1999. Después, en su propio blog, contesta las siguientes preguntas. Ademas, en su propio blog, busca a un latino(a) inspiradora para compartir con sus alumnos. Ellen Ochoa Preguntas: En el artículo por Raquel Reichard, ella dice que "But her barrier breaking doesn’t stop there." ¿Por que crees que Ochoa esta "rompiendo obstáculos?"
